OUR VALUES
1. ʔƏMS TAʔOW We recognize that all we have is from the land around us and the teachings that have sustained our people. We commit to learning and teaching about ʔayʔajuθəm culture and language. The commitment to land includes the water, air, animals, plants, language and culture all of which are a direct result of this environment. We strive to share these teachings in new platforms.
2. COMMUNITY
Our work engages community in courageous inter-generational conversations with empathy and a commitment to stay engaged with each other. In this way we can uncover new ways forward, together.
3. SAFE & HEALTHY WORK SPACES
We conscientiously create work environments where people feel safe, valued and respected. We provide opportunities for people identifying with BIPOC,+LGBTQ2S, and (dis)Abilities) communities. We strive for a sustainable lifestyle, emulating natural life cycles.
4. DIRECT ACTION
We do not ‘hope’ for a better future; through direct action, we work diligently to achieve it. We acknowledge our shared past and remember that resilience and resistance has brought us here. We commit to using the language, and to inspiring others to learn and become part of the legacy.
